Kabogo to Ruto: Resign now, campaign from outside.

Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has asked the Deputy President William Ruto to resign instead of opposing the government from within.

Kabogo said he was shocked to see Ruto holding a three-day retreat with sections of Mt Kenya Mps with the aim of developing an economic blueprint for a future government he (Ruto) hopes to lead.

He said it was the height of arrogance and deceit that a sitting deputy president can be developing an economic recovery program that is contrary to the one being implemented by the government he is still serving.

Kabogo said it was now very clear that Ruto had parted ways with his boss President Uhuru and the only fair thing for him is to resign.

“Ruto is my friend. Iam telling him. Resign now. It is clear he has rejected ‘Uhurunomics’ and therefore he should go. He should go and campaign from outside,” said Kabogo.

At the same time, Kabogo hit out at a section of Mt Kenya leaders who met Ruto purportedly to negotiate for the region.

He said negotiations are not done in that style and that those MPs lacked the mandate of the people.
Kabogo said Mt Kenya does not lack spokespersons and that all leaders must be involved in charting the future of the region and not a select few with no mandate from the people.
