Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga apologises to retired President Uhuru, says they were misled to hate him

Outspoken Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has apologised to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta saying they were misled to hate him, yet he meant well for Mt Kenya region.

Speaking when he appeared on a morning radio show, Kahiga asked Uhuru to forgive him and the residents of Mt Kenya because they were misled by the many promises they were being offered by United Democratic Alliance (UDA) that are yet to be fulfilled.

He said two years down the line none of the many promises made by UDA have been fulfilled and it has become clear that they were misled and are apologetic they did not listen to the former president.

Kahiga said Ruto now president made so many promises and none of them have been fulfilled and that it was embarrassing that the president is still making even more promises.

He said while his county government can easily show what they have done over the last two years, the national government has nothing to show and that is why it is facing a huge resistance from the youth.

Kahiga said the issues raised by Gen Z were genuine and that the president should not attempt to sweep them under the carpet.

He said the President should implement the demands being made by Gen Z saying they are all genuine and aimed at building a better country free of corruption and wastage of public resources.
