Jubilee Party now accuses President Ruto of “State Capture” wants a commission of inquiry formed to investigate the menace

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jerimiah Kioni has accused President Ruto of capturing state institutions and wants a commission of inquiry formed to investigate all allegations of State Capture.

Responding to an announcement by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that President Ruto had decided to go slow on formation of a commission of inquiry to investigate alleged state capture by the former Jubilee Party administration, Kioni said it was actually the Kenya Kwanza government that has put state institutions in its pockets.

Kioni said President Ruto has already captured the Judiciary that is now doing his biddings and that he has also captured both houses of Parliament, the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions leaving the public with no office where they can seek help.

He said when those institutions were formed, they were meant to check the excesses of the government especially when it becomes too strong and undemocratic.

“It is clear they have developed cold feet toward formation of the inquiry of state capture because they are afraid their lies will be exposed. We want them to form the commission now without further delay,” said Kioni

Kioni also warned the Kenya Kwanza government of vindictiveness and weaponising their offices by firing public servants who served under the Jubilee government.

He said DP Gachagua has confirmed that he had fired some senior officials and that chiefs and their assistants are also working under threat of sacking on flimsy political grounds.

Kioni also told Gachagua to also be careful how he trends because it was obvious President Ruto had done away with him going by way his duties have been trimmed and given to Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi.
