Governor Mutua takes his presidential campaigns to Central Kenya

Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has launched a series of activities in Central Kenya to popularise his presidential bid as succession politics heats up.

A day after a tour of Kiambu County, Mutua visited Kirinyaga where he was hosted by governor Anne Waiguru.

Mutua had earlier in the morning visited the neighbouring Embu County as he sought to establish more political partnerships and linkages.

Speaking after the Kirinyaga meeting, Mutua on the political front agreed that our country’s future growth depends on joining hands with others.

He said they agreed it was especially important to join hands with women and young people being identified and empowered to play central roles in the delivery of a new Kenya.

On devolution, Mutua said collaborative efforts between county leaderships is fundamental to spurring economies of devolved governments for the good of our people.

He said he appreciated the interaction between Governor Waiguru on putting minds together to improve coffee farming and marketing through favourable product prices, as well as increase livestock breeding, now with the revamped Kenya Meat Commission in Athiriver, Machakos county. that hampers inter-county commercial growth,” said Mutua.

He said it was a profound honour to be received and hosted by Madam Waiguru and receive greetings from Kirinyaga people.
