God has heard my prayers, DP Gachagua declares as he prays again facing Mt Kenya

For the second day in a row Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was back to Mt Kenya where he said prayers while facing the mountain.

Gachagua said after praying for his boss President Ruto, the country and the people, he said three other prayers while facing the Mountain.

He prayed to God to give rain so that farmers could enjoy the fruits of their labour from their farms.

In the second prayer Gachagua asked God to deliver young men and women from drugs and to specifically touch the hearts of those who sell drugs to young people; to change their ways and let the youth become what they were destined to be.

Gachagua in the third prayer asked God to heal the land from all forms of cancer that are ravaging the population.

“Cancer has forced families into fundraising events every weekend as they try to clear bills. They are left with bills and in debt on the many occasions that the disease has claimed their loved ones,” he noted.

He said he believed God has heard his prayers and that the Mountain was calm and that Kenya was on the right path.

He said on his way through the Mawingu Trail, he noticed the diverse wildlife that included waterbucks and gazelles, against the backdrop of the rising sun that came together to make a near perfect picture.

“The temperatures today, just like yesterday, were also low, but this only served as a motivation for me to get closer to nature and experience the magic,” he said.
