Shock grips a village in Othaya as a strange wild animal kills a man, eats his brain and heart

Shock and grief has hit a village in Othaya, Nyeri County after a yet to be indentified wild animal killed a well-known villager, ate his brain and heart in a bizzare incident.

It was not immediately clear how Douglas Macharia alias Buda met the cruel death after his body was discovered on Sunday morning by the roadside.

According to villagers Buda who got mentally impaired many years back and his body was found with organs eaten from the chest to head spreading shock and trepidation

Villagers are waiting for the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) to solve the puzzle and track down the wild animal that is yet to be identified.

“I have known him all my life. He was my village mate, we grew up together. Last night he was attacked killed by a wild animal (not yet identified) and bodily organs eaten up from the chest to the head. He body was discovered in the morning on the roadside,” said Wahome Thuku
