Murathe – Jubilee Party strongman resurfaces in Dubai for the first time since his side was beaten by Ruto

Murathe who led a relentless campaign against Ruto’s candidature was said to be recovering privately and in solitude after his side was beaten in the August 9 polls.

Jubilee Party strongman David Murathe has for the first time since his candidate – Raila Odinga – lost the presidential elections appeared in public albeit in Dubai where he is holidaying.

Murathe is pictured together with his son with the beautiful Dubai skyline in the background.

The Jubilee Party vice chairman, campaigned for Azimio La Umoja flagbearer Raila Odinga who lost to President William Ruto whose Kenya Kwanza coalition won with a razor thin margin.

Murathe had led a group of cantankerous individuals who had vowed that Ruto would never be sworn in as president or be allowed close to power.

Him and powerful individuals in the former regime had predicted a landslide win for Raila – something that was later described as mere hot air.

While COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli a prominent member of the coterie and former MP Maina Kamanda has since climbed down the high horse and accepted the reality of a Ruto regime, Murathe is yet to say a word.

Kenyans were therefore thrilled when images of a smiling Murathe with Burf Khalifa – Dubai’s tallest building – as the backdrop surficed online.
