Murang’a Woman Rep Betty Maina heavily attacked for asking Kikuyu women to give birth to more children

Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina has been dismissed as selfish and retrogressive for asking Kikuyu women to give birth to many children to create a bigger voting machine.

“This is a sad day, that all an elected leader can talk about is giving birth to increase the voting machine. She should be dealing with issues like the collapse of the education system, the health crisis and general increase in poverty, not telling more women to give birth to more kids,” said an angry netizen.

Another Kenyan described the sentiments as retrogressive and hypocritical saying ordinary Kenyans do not care who is in power as long as they get services.
