Defiant Ruto vows to crush Gen Z protestors hours after Raila abandoned him

A defiant President Ruto has vowed to crush Gen Z protestors saying he has ceded too much ground setting the stage for more confrontations.

The President’s tough stance came barely hours after ODM leader Raila Odinga sensationally abandoned the Ruto led dialogue and instead gave fresh conditions before talks.

Raila in the statement issued Sunday morning said there could be no talks before justice and listed a number of issues the government must address before any talks could take place.

Speaking after attending a church service in Bomet, President Ruto declared that enough was enough and that he would not allow any more protests.

He said he had met some of the demands by Gen Z including dropping the draconian Finance Bill, dissolving his Cabinet and accepting to go to X for talks.

Ruto said despite all the ground he has ceded, the Gen Z who remain leaderless continue to call for protests that have resulted to anarchy.

As the President was issuing the threats, many Churches appear to be abanding him and supporting the Gen Z and have warned the President not reclycle Cabinet Secretaries already rejected by the people.

Ruto has already appointed half his Cabinet and re-appointed 6 CSs of those he had fired something that has already angered Church leaders and the Gen Z.

The Gen Z has in the meantime organised what they are calling a major protest on Monday saying that the President has wasted an opportunity to right the wrongs already done by re-appointing fired cabinet secretaries.

They are also angered by the continued abductions of individuals by police and failure to implement all the demands presented to him.
