Golfers have another reason to improve their swing and play better after a bank introduced a new package to finance purchase of golf kits and equipment.
Muungano Microfinance Bank says the new product will see the bank finance up to 70% of the cost of new clubs among other items with a flexible payment plan of up to 12 months at a pocket friendly interest rate.
Revealing the product at the Thika Greens Golf Resort at the weekend, Muungano Microfinance Bank Mr Patrick Karanja said golfers will only be required to pay 30% of the cost of the golf equipment they require, and the bank will pay the rest of the amount.
He said under the Golf Equipment Financing, the product will cover a wide range of items, including golf clubs, bags, clothing, shoes, golf carts, range finders, simulators, distance measuring devices, maintenance equipment like lawn mowers, aerators, and club membership entry fees.
“The golf financing will assist golfers to access financing for golf equipment. The quality, warranty and pricing will be according to the agreement between the seller and the client,” said Karanja.
He said Muungano Microfinance Bank will continue to support sports in their contribution to the physical and mental wellness of the society.
Golf is one of the fast growing sports in Kenya but is also considered expensive because of the cost of equipment required to play.
