DP Rigathi Gachagua back in Mt Kenya to pray for more rains

Gachagua’s prayer session comes a week after a group of Agikuyu elders went to the mountain to pray for the rains where the rains fell immediately leaving them heavily drenched, but extremely excited and happy. They said Ngai had answered their prayers.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was back in Mt Kenya at the crack of dawn to thank God for the rains and pray for more.

The DP was accompanied to the revered prayer shrine by Kieini MP Chieni and Nyandarua Senator John Methu.

Gachagua had earlier in January conducted a prayer marathon on Mt Kenya where he prayeed for rains for three days as the devastating drought pounded the country.

A week ago excitement cut across the land after a group of Agikuyu elders went to the mountain through the Sirmon Gate up to the prayer shrine at Old Moses Camp.

The elders offered prayers and as soon as they finished heavy rains fell even before they could leave the shrine.

The elders immediately thanked God for answering their prayers as they left the Mountain of God feeling completely blessed.

The rains continued to fall in most parts of Mt Kenya but they appear to have subsided.
