Diana Chepkemoi, whose lucky escape from Saudi Arabia slavery caught the attention of Kenyans, now commands a huge following on TikTok where she regularly posts inspirational videos.

The 24-year-old Chepkemoi received outpouring of sympathy after her photos went viral – she was looking badly emaciated after enduring cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment in Saudi Arabia.

Her family appealed for assistance from the government to bring her back home and Kenyans also took to social media to demand her return.

When she landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on the afternoon of September 6, 2022, Diana painfully narrated how she was mistreated by her former boss in Saudi Arabia.

Diana secured a job and a chance to continue with her studies just hours after arriving in the country from Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old, who had deferred her studies at Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) due to financial constraints, enrolled back in the institution after her return.

Meru university’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Romanus Odhiambo allowed Diana back at the facility and also offered her a job and accommodation to facilitate her learning.

A month after returning to Kenya, Diana Chepkemoi has found refuge on TikTok where she regularly posts inspirational videos of how God saved her from the jaws of death in Saudi Arabia.

The 24-year-old now commands nearly 30,000 followers on TikTok just one month after she started operating the account. So far, she has only posted 10 clips on TikTok.
