ODM leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga caused a political stir after he held a meeting with prominent Nairobi business lady and City gubernatorial candidate Agnes Kagure.
A happy Kagure said it was her pleasure to meet with Raila who is considered a front-runner in the 2022 presidential election, even though he is yet to formerly launch his bid.
Kagure said Raila took her through his development plan that has a special consideration for the youth and women including those in the rural economies.
“It was a pleasure catching up with Baba and being taken through his development plan that has a special consideration for our youth and women, and even those in rural economies,’’ a happy Kagure said.
Kagure has been on the forefront supporting and mentoring the young people and has promised that should she get elected as the Nairobi governor, her administration will have a special place for youth and women.
Kagure believes with proper mentoring and equipping the youth with skills, they will be able to shape their own future.
According to her Nairobi youth and indeed the entire country are full of innovators who with empowerment and government support, they will be able to have the future they desire.
She praised Raila saying he had a national leader with an impressive track record and that Kenya needs such a leader to steer the country forward.
“More than ever, Kenya is ready for a leader with a track record and national appeal, and one who will gather all and scatter none. I agree, Inawezekana,’’ said Kagure.
