Egypt’s tactician Shawkat Ahmed lauded his boys for brilliant displays more so in Gabon’s territory.

Four goals apiece from Ismail Mohammed and Ahmedemad Saber was what humiliated a technically inferior Gabon.

“Our plan at this event is to take each situation as it comes. We now have two high scores in two matches. But that doesn’t mean that we should rest on our laurels. We are looking at the bigger picture,” the deaf Coach said through the help of an interpreter.

In the match against Gabon, were the star players in what was a well-oiled North African outfit.

The Egyptians mounted incessant attacks on their opponent’s side on both halves, camped in their half displaying exhilarating displays of football artistry.

Ismail completed a hattrick at the stroke of halftime as Egypt led 6-0.

The trend continued in the second half and it came a s no surprise when Mohammed Elshabeny added the seventh in the 52nd minute.

Gabon pulled one back with Darik Dikombon’s 56th minute penalty when Djessy Nso Nzeng was brough down in the area.
