A seven-storey building under construction has collapsed at Seasons area in Nairobi’s Kasarani trapping several workers in the rumble.
Five people have so far been retrieved from the wreckage and rushed to hospital with varying injuries.
Several more people are feared trapped following the incident. Rescue efforts are currently underway.
Reports indicate the foreman had been warned by inspectorate officials from Nairobi City County but ignored it.
