Rally driver Asad Khan dies a week after alleged assault by his girlfriend

Rally driver Asad Khan has died while undergoing treatment in hospital following alleged assault by girlfriend Maxine Wahome also a rally driver.

Khan’s family confirmed that he died at Avenue Hospital, in Parklands where he has been undergoing treatment.

He was in hospital admitted for almost a week where his family was asking for blood donation.

His brother Adil confirmed the death. He said Khan was admitted in hospital after losing a lot of blood following injuries he suffered in his Kileleshwa house in an altercation with his girlfriend Maxine Wahome. 

Wahome was later arrested by police and charged in court but released on a Sh100,000 bond.

He was fighting for his life at the High Dependency Unit at the Avenue Hospital in Nairobi following the domestic spat which led to the arrest of Maxine.

Details of the domestic spat remain scanty.
