Gachagua blames Ruto and Sakaja as goons disrupt his church service in Kasarani, Nairobi

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned President Ruto against any attempt to assassinate him, saying such an evil act would complicate his politics.

He accused President Ruto and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja of planning to disrupt the church service where he was attending after goons tried to access the worship grounds.

The former DP said the president had become bold and was now sending goons inside the church saying it was retrogressive and unlawful to block him from attending church services.

He said goons are being sent everywhere he goes to church with the aim of intimidating him because Ruto has been unable to run the country and was now resorting to dictatorship.

Gachagua said that every Kenyan has a right to association and freedom of expression as enshrined in the constitution.

On President Ruto’s tour of the Mt Kenya regions Gachagua reminded the president that no one disrupted his meetings in the region and hence he should be allowed to move across the country without disruption.

He was speaking during a church service at Kasarani PCEA Mwiki parish in Nairobi County and later went to Maragua, where he addressed public rallies.

Gachagua has asked his supporters not to respond to the brutal attacks as it was a plan by Ruto to cause chaos in a bid to postpone the 2027 elections.
