Big boost as tea farmers receives over 584 million dividend payments from KTDA

Tea farmers under the KTDA management are set to receive a total of Ksh 584,853,000 being dividends payable to them through their factories who are the 54 corporate shareholders of KTDA Holdings Ltd.

A statement from KTDA says the dividend payment is based on the green leaf delivered for the financial year ending June 2022.

It added that the dividends are derived from the profits made by KTDA Holdings and its subsidiaries which include KTDA MS, KTDA Power, Majani Insurance Brokers, Greenlnd Fedha, Chai Trading and Warehousing, TEMEC and KETEPA.

KTDA said the money will be dispatched to banks alongside the May 2023 green leaf payment on Thursday 8th June 2023.

“As part of the reform agenda, monthly payment for farmers was rescheduled to the first five working days of the subsequent month,” said the statement.

KTDA said it remains committed to the continuous improvement of farmers’ welfare and promoting their interests.
