KTDA board gets more support from government, praised for its reform agenda

The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has received accolades from the Ministry of Agriculture over its reform agenda that is already benefiting farmers.

This was revealed when Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi held a consultative meeting with the KTDA’s Board of Directors at Kilimo House, Nairobi,

The CS assured the KTDA Board of Directors that the Ministry is committed to work with them for the benefit of our farmers and the country at large.

Hon Linturi said that the Ministry has already rolled up plans to improve the tea sector productivity by instituting several measures including providing fertilizer subsidy to farmers, establishment of orthodox tea lines and value addition common user facilities.

Present during the meeting were Crops Development PS Philip Kello Harsama, the KTDA Board of Directors led by Chairman David Muni Ichoho.

Others were KTDA’s Group CEO, Wilson Muthaura together with other top officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
