DP Rigathi Gachagua’s sweet words to Eng Michael Kamau hired by President Ruto on Thursday

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has heaped praises on the appointment of Eng Michael Kamau by President Ruto to chair the NHIF board.

Gachagua in a statement said President Ruto has restored the dignity of Eng Kamau who was fired by the previous regime and taken to court.

He said Eng Kamau was persecuted and taken through hell by the very government he served.

He described Eng Kamau as, “a distinguished Public Servant who put in years of committed service to our great Nation of Kenya, he was persecuted and taken through hell by the very Goverment he had served.”

“For 8 years, the son of Kenya has not known peace and has been the subject of scorn and humiliation,” said Gachagua.

He said the appointment of Eng. Kamau to chair the board of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) brings experience and efficiency to an institution critical in implementing the Kenya Kwanza Plan of realizing Universal Health Coverage for all Kenyans.

The DP thanked President Ruto for the appointment describing him as the best.
