From grass to grace: Ezekiel Mutua presides over University graduation as chief guest

It was a case of mixed emotions for Ezekiel Mutua “Kenya’s moral cop” after he presided over the graduation of Presbyterian University of East Africa as Chief Guest.

Mutua remembered that 1994 he graduated outside the Graduation Square of Kenyatta University for lack of money.

He said he did not have money to pay for his graduation gown on time and therefore could not be admitted to the graduation square.

Mutua revealled that against all odds, this week he officiated a graduation ceremony as Chief Guest, “with all the colour, pomp and pageantry that goes with such auspicious moments.”

“You may be a nobody today, but if you keep believing in yourself, work hard and trust in God, one day you the world will clap for you. God is faithful,” said Mutua.

Mutua is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).
