Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s elder brother Jack Reriani to be buried on Tuesday at Hiriga, Mathira

President William Ruto expected in Mathira on Tuesday to attend the burial of Jack Reriani elder brother of his deputy Rigathi Gachagua

The elder brother to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, the late Jack Reriani will be buried on Tuesday at his home in Hiriga village, Mathira, Nyeri County in a ceremony where President William Ruto is expected to attend.

Reriani died last week only days after his younger brother was sworn in as Deputy President following after his coalition of Kenya Kwanza won the controversial August 9 Presidential election.

Gachagua said the death of his brother on Saturday last week had hit him hard saying he was now the only son of their mother Kirigo who is left,

“The news of your passing on has hit me hard as I remain alone among the Kirigo sons,” said Gachagua as he mourned his beloved brother.

Over the last few days hundreds of mourners have been congregating at the home of Reriani to condole with the family where on Sunday they were led by Nyeri County governor Mutahi Kahiga.

Kahiga was accompanied by his deputy David Kinaniri, area Senator Wahome Wamatinga, Women Rep Rehab Mukami and area MP Eric Wamumbi.

Others were former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu who enjoyed hearty moments with Gachagua and a host of other leaders from around Central Kenya region.
