Wounded Gachagua retreats to his Mathira village home as his replacement basks in City glory

As if to consult the Mt Kenya oracles on his quick rise and fall former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua retreated to his Mathira village home with his family.

In a melodramatic tone, Gachagua talked about how sweet home was, the smell of fresh grass and sounds of chirping birds.

“Home Sweet Home. Thanking God for the gift of my family. The smell of fresh grass, sounds of chirping birds is what a happy family needs. I will remain forever grateful to God, for giving me a loving and supportive family. We are happy to be home, where I was born and brought up!,” Gachagua wrote.

Gachagua said he was eager to get spiritual nourishment by hitting the Mt Kenya trails early in the morning.

“I can’t wait for the morning to take my walk in Hombe Forest, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Kenya as I thank God for His kindness.” Gachagua said.

And basking in glory in the Capital City, Nairobi, his replacement Prof Kithure Kindiki swore by the Holy Bible to be a royal servant vowing never to let down his boss – President Ruto.

It has been a dramatic month of October that saw what started as a mere rumour of a planned impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua become a reality much to the shock and disbelief of his Mt Kenya support base.

His boss President Ruto in thinly veiled attack on Gachagua urged Prof Kindiki to serve the entire country and not just his village and region.

” At a critical phase of the implementation of our Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, Kenyans require a public servant and a consummate champion of our constitutional dispensation,” said President Ruto.

He said a public official must be a dedicated and loyal leader who will break ethnic barriers and inspire inclusivity and unity besides supporting the Cabinet and the Presidency in delivering in full and on time for the people.

“Prof Abraham Kithure Kindiki is an exemplary example of a qualified, committed and outstanding scholar whose selflessness, competence, experience and focus will mobilise the Government towards delivering The Plan,” he said.
