Nyaga wins the 5th Kirinyaga Golf tourney held at Thika Greens Resort

Jeremiah Nyaga has won the 5th edition of Abai Golf tournament that brings together golfers from Kirinyaga County.

Playing off handicap 23, Njaga who hails from Ndia constituency returned a score 44 stableford points to beat a big field of more than 150 golfers.

The second prize went to Peter Maregwa from Kirinyaga Central constituency who scored 38 points at handicap 4.

Man runners-up was Martin Arokot with 39 points while member winner was Jane Mugane with 38 points.

The convenor of the tournament Wachira Kibanya thanked the golfers for the huge turnout and great support for the event now in its 5th season.

He thanked the CEO of Thika Greens Golf Resort and former Kirinyaga Senator Charlea Kibiru for giving Kirinyaga golfers a “golfing home.”

Wachira thanked the sponsors led by Yamato Tools and the three associate companies for the many prizes. Other sponsors were Recolte-Sib, Sunciti Resort, Spenza Millers, Autoweb⁩ of Dowam Consultancy – all 100% Kirinyaga owned.
