Cheerful DP Gachagua asks Ben Githae to apologize for misleading Raila that he had climbed Mt Kenya

A cheerful Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua caused hearty laughter after he asked celebrated musician Ben Githae to apologize for misleading Azimio leader Raila Odinga that he had climbed Mt Kenya and would win the presidency.

On the same breath, Gachagua warned another musician Samidoh to control his women or disciplinary action will be taken against him.

It was however a mixed bag of fortunes for Ben Githae as he ended up with an invitation to State House where he will meet President Ruto together with other musicians.

Githae had been asked to speak during the burial ceremony of Pauline Nyokabi sister to Trade CS Moses Kuria in Gatundu South, where he asked the President to also meet the musicians who were on the Azimio side.

On Samidoh, Gachagua said the constant drama being caused by his wives who include nominated Senator Karen Nyamu are a source of national embarrassment especially when outside the country.

He reminded Samidoh that even though he is a good musician and people love his music, he was still a policeman and that some of the privileges accorded to him would be withdrawn if he is unable to control his women.

Gachagua told Samidoh that he can be denied permission to go to perform abroad or his travel restricted so that he only travels alone.

The DP was referring to an incident that occurred about two months ago in Dubai where Samidoh was performing, and his baby mama Karen caused a big commotion including a confrontation with his wife Edday.

Karen who was ejected from the club averting further commotion later the following morning blamed the whole incident on being drunk on alcohol.

She later announced that she had dumped Samidoh and was seen dancing to Mugithi tunes belted out by Samidoh’s main rival – Waithaka w Jane.
