Her Majesty The Queen’s coffin is now Lying-in-State in Westminster Hall ahead of her burial on Monday next week

Her Majesty The Queen’s coffin is now Lying-in-State in Westminster Hall after it travelled down the Mall to Horse Guards Parade and Parliament Square before reaching the Palace of Westminster.

During the Lying-in-State, members of the public will have the opportunity to visit Westminster Hall to pay their respects to The Queen.

On the morning of Monday 19th September, the Lying-in-State will end, and the Coffin will be taken in Procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where the State Funeral Service will take place.

The Queen died on Thursday last week at her summer home in Balmoral Scotland aged 96 achieving a historical feat as the longest serving monarch in the history of the United Kingdom,

Her son Prince Charles has now inherited the kingdom and already proclaimed King Charles III and is expected to move to Buckingham Palace the seat of power of the monarch to start discharging his duties after the funeral
