Kagure calls for sober gubernatorial campaigns focused on promoting the youth and the economy

Prominent City business lady Agnes Kagure wants discussions around the next Nairobi governor to be sober and based on how to promote the youth and the economy.

Kagure said the discussions around the presidency has changed for the better and it is now about livelihoods, the youth and the economy.

“I hope the same sober discussions, if not more intense will shape our county governorship races,’’ said Kagure in her message.

Kagure who is eyeing the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in 2022 has a strong focus on how to improve lives in the City and a top agenda on how to empower the youth.

She said a youth empowered is a future secured, with less crime, less youthful dependants and a future full of innovators.

Kagure said the best way to contribute towards building our youth’s future was by training them to be dynamic and empowering them to be the makers of the future they want.

She said while the older generation worked on farms and became millionaires motivated to escape poverty, today armed with technology and science innovations and government support, the youth can become millionaires through agriculture.

Kagure said since the future is about the youth she would ensure that in her administration the youth would be part and parcel of the decision making processes.

“The future is about them, why leave them out? Let’s build and empower the youth to be makers of the future they desire. Walk with me and lets make it happen,’’ said Kagure.
