South African President is received by King Charles III for state visit in UK

The President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa has been formally welcomed to the UK by The King and The Queen Consort at Horse Guards Parade.

During the ceremonial welcome, a Royal Salute was fired by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery from Green Park, and another Royal Salute was fired by the Honourable Artillery Company at the Tower of London.

Accompanied by The King, The President Ramaphosa inspected a Guard of Honour before joining the Carriage Procession to Buckingham Palace.
