Police hunting for a criminal gang that shot Ngong OCS

Police are looking for a gang that shot and seriously injured the Ngong Officer Commanding Station (OCS) in an attack near the local station.

The chief inspector of police was in the company of three other officers when they were confronted by four gunmen last night.

They stopped the men who were walking along Ngong-Kihara Road. And when they stopped the pedestrians, one of them shot at the officers injuring the OCS in the right shoulder.

The officer was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted in stable condition.

And in another incident police are looking for a 23 year old lady who was kidnapped by unknown people from Kamukunji area, Nairobi.

Hafsa Mohamed Lukman (picture above) is missing since she was kidnapped on Tuesday by men who have made demands to the family. This has sparked fears that the gangs that kidnap people and demand ransom could be re-grouping.

Police say they are yet to know where the lady is but they have mounted a search and rescue mission.
