Muli Kavita wins ICEA Lion “King of the Course” golf tourney at Thika Greens Golf Resort

Muli Kavita emerged the overall winner of the second leg of the 2023 ICEA Lion King of Course series at the Thika Greens Golf Resort course after beating a big field of 154 golfers.

The Machakos club-based golfer paying off handicap 28, produced a stop score of 43 points to beat the men winner John Njeru who was playing off handicap 23 on countback.

Kavita said he had a great time playing the course and was happy to emerge from a competitive field where other players played well.

After the win at Thika Greens Golf Resort, Kavita secured his place for the finale that will be held at his home club next year in January.

Kibera Maina came second in the men’s section after he scored 42 points while C Nthiwa scored 42 points to win the Ladies section with Anne Kinyori coming second after posting 39 points.

The nines went to J.Muhingo on 22 points and Alphonce Kioko on 24 points, while Anthony Muturi took the staff (ICEA LION) winner’s trophy and Justus Mathenge and J Silai took the prize for the longest drive.
