Matiang’i clarifies aspects of public order no 2

The public order number 2 issued by the President caused serious confusion regarding already agreed protocols by various stakeholders.

Internal Security minister Dr Fred Matiangi issued the following clarifications.

  1. Everything that had been agreed between KEPSA and Government during the first time of covid remains including fresh produce snd flowers etc. 
  2. Current permits for essential services are good until Tuesday and they will be renewed within the same framework we have worked all along and they will weed out the misused ones then 
  3. All Kenyans outside the closed zone will be allowed back in the next 24 hours and tourists who need to fly in when don’t with their holidays will do
