Drama as Jeff Koinange blasted live on air by CS Faridah Karoney

Celebrity newscaster Jeff Koinange was roasted live on air by his former boss now Lands CS Faridah Karoney for long news stories.

Karoney also did not spare political reporter Francis Gachuri whom she also accused of writting long and winding stories.

She told the two to cut their stories to make them shorter, punchy and to the point, alluding to falling standards at Royal Media Services (RMS) four years after her departure.

Faridah said when she was boss at RMS she would ensure stories are properly edited so that they keep viewers engaged and not to bore them.

The flamboyant newscaster was caught off guard by Faridah’s jibe and immediately called for a break.

After collecting himself he said he would improve the editing to shorten the stories.

Faridah who cut a serious demeanor said her Cabinet appointment caught her by surprise even though she had already expressed her desire to quit.

“I have done everything I would have wanted to do. I have been a editor and thought I nolonger fitted in the space. Needed to do something else,” said Farida.

She said when her name was mentioned she thought it was another Farida, until she received a call with confirmation.
