Prominent gospel musician Ben Githae has blasted tanga tanga MPs from Mt Kenya for purporting to negotiate with DP Ruto for the region.
Githae has lately found himself under heavy attack from tangatanga for his unwavering support for President Uhuru.
He told those attacking him that his support for Uhuru, the handshake and BBI remains unshaken.
Githae rose to mythical stardom after his “tano tena” 2017 campaign song reverberated across the country and helped rally support for Jubilee that won a second term.
He has threatened to do another song that will mobilise and rally Kenyans together to ensure a BBI win at the referendum.
In an interview with an online TV, Githae said finally and after three years Mt Kenya tanga tanga MPs have seen the logic to negotiate for the region.
But he dismissed them saying it was now too late to start issuing Ruto with demands and threats giving the analogy of a bride trying to negotiate when already pregnant.
“These people have been “tanga tangaring” with Ruto for three years. They cannot pretend to negotiate now when the pregnancy is very advanced,” he said.
He said he will continue to push for the interest of Mt Kenya, support BBI and President Uhuru and will not be cowed by any threats or pressure.
