TV icon Ken Wakuraya “fetches water” at Muthoni Mukuri’s colourful wedding

Netizens made fun of television presenter Ken Wakuraya after he was pictured attending the wedding of his all time crush and former co-presenter Muthoni Mukiri.

Wakuraya posed for a photo with Muthoni and her lover Isaac Ng’ang’a during the photo session after the colourful traditional wedding held in Nairobi’s Syokimau estate.

Amused social media users quipped that Wakuraya after failing to propose to the beautiful Muthoni, he ended up drawing water at her wedding as the saying goes.

The famous Nigerian proverb says, ‘A man who hangs around a beautiful girl without saying a word ends up fetching water for the guests at her wedding.”

The words seem to have come true to Wakuraya whose on-air chemistry with Muthoni as they anchored news on Inooro TV presented the image of a perfect couple.

And as if to rub it in, Muthoni who shared the picture of Wakuraya thanked him for entertaining the guests (fetching water).

“With my friend (Ken Wakuraya). Thank you Ken Wakuraya. You really entertained our guests. Be blessed,” read the caption below the photo.

Muthoni’s wedding, an invite only affair, was attended by media celebrities and was a closely guarded event save for the photos released by Muthoni on her social media pages.
