Business titan Chris Kirubi to be buried on Saturday at his farm in Thika

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya joined other Kenyans in paying glowing tribute to celebrated industrialist and business mogul Chris Kirubi who died on Monday aged 80.

Munya while condoling with the family and friends described Dr Kirubi as an astute entrepreneur and a great friend of him adding that the country had lost a great patriot.

And as Kenyans continued to send their condolences to the family and friends of the fallen business titan, it was announced that he will be buried on Saturday at his Thika Farm.

The funeral committee also announced that his burial will be preceded by a funeral service that will be held on Friday at the Faith Evangelist Ministry in Karen, Nairobi at 11:00am.


Prominent Nairobi business lady Agnes Kagure while sending her message of condolence said Kirubi will be cherished forever.


She noted that very many livelihoods and careers were built and depended on Chris Kirubi’s business acumen, mentorship and generosity. 


“The big gap his departure has created in the lives of people who came close to him will be a constant reminder of the much he managed to accomplish while he lived. Forever cherished, Rest in Peace,” said Kagure.

Hundreds of Kenyan have told heartwarming stories of how the ever jovial Kirubi also known as DJ CK had touched their lives with great acts of generosity and favours.

Leading Nairobi lawyer Donald Kiporir in a tribute described how despite being less than 30 years old when he first met Kirubi, the businessman trusted him with very big assignment going against the norm where huge legal briefs would be handled by European or Indian firms.

Kipkorir said Kirubi was a man of honour who huge confidence in Kenyan talents and who earned every dollar he has.
