Pope Francis Recovering Well Sends Recorded Message to Catholics, Thanks them for Prayers

Unwell Catholic Church head, Pope Francis has sent an audio message to thank everyone who has been praying for his health.

The audio clip was broadcast in St. Peter’s Square on Thursday, March 6, as Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, led the nightly Rosary prayer.

The 88-year-old Pope was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14 to receive treatment for bilateral pneumonia, according to Vatican News.

Millions of Catholic faithful across the world have been praying for the Pontiff who has been battling ill-health for the last three weeks. The recorded message has given them comfort that their beloved leader was on the path to full recovery.
