DP Rigathi Gachagua has announced plans to hold a major “homecoming ceremony” for President Ruto in Mt Kenya

“We are going to receive President Ruto in Mt Kenya like the king he is. We shall have a grand procession from Githurai all the way to Sagana State Lodge where we shall hold a thanksgiving ceremony” – DP Rigathi Gachagua

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed plans to hold a major homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony for President William Ruto to be held at State Lodge Sagana.

DP Gachagua said the grand procession will start at Githurai in Nairobi and will stop at Chania River bridge in Thika town for prayers and then proceed to Kenol town.

From Kenol town, the convoy will then proceed to Maragua, then go to Sanaga and onward to Kagio town. From Kagio the procession will head to Kerugoya, then Kagumo town before hitting his hometown of Karatina.

After Karatina the grand march will proceed to Chaka and finally to State Lodge Sagana where the thanksgiving ceremony will be held and thereafter a leaders meeting – Sagana 1 – where a masterplan to develop Mt Kenya region will be drawn.

Gachagua said President Ruto was a king and there is a special way a king is received, and will ensure that Mt Kenya receives him like the king he is.

He made the revelations in Laikipia today during a thanksgiving ceremony held at the Nanyuki Stadium graced by President Ruto and leadership from the county.

The President and his deputy are at the nearby Mt Kenya Safari Club where his executive arm of government is having a four-day retreat to develop their workplans as the new government gets down to work.
