PNU celebrates 15 years since it was formed by former President Kibaki

The Party of National Unity (PNU) that former President Mwai Kibaki (late) used to secure his second term in office has marked 15 years since inception.

The party marked its 15th birthday in a funfair at the party’s headquarters in Lavington Nairobi on Wednesday 31st January 2024.

Opposition chief and Azimio La Umoja Coalition leader Raila Odinga was the chief guest during the event highlighted by the cutting of cake and tossing glasses of champagne.

PNU party leader former Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya said the birthday celebrations marked the beggining of a nationalwide member recruitment drive.

He said PNU was as strong as ever and would continue to offer strong leadership in Kenya.

Munya added that the spirit of former President Kibaki lives in the party noting that Kenya’s best development years was achieved under during the PNU administration.

He said the party has been recruiting members and will continue to recruit and will take advantage of the digital platforms to register new members.
