Impeach DP Gachagua, we impeach you Wiper MPs now warn President Ruto

The plot to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has a new twist after MPs from the Wiper Movement said they will table an impeachment against President Ruto should the plan to impeach his deputy goes on as planned.

Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has declared that if an impeachment motion against DP Rigathi is tabled in Parliament, he will simultaneously push for an impeachment motion against President William Ruto.

Maanzo’s argument is that since the two ran on a joint ticket, they should be removed together adding another dramatic twist to the saga that has gripped the country for the last two weeks.

The statement by Maanzo whose party leader is former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka leads to credence that DP Gachagua’s handlers have been looking to the East for support with the aim of joining forces with Wiper Movement as the UDA houses faces imminent collapse.

Overtures have been made to woo the Kamba nation to join forces with Mt Kenya region including proposals to return them to the GEMA union. Elders from the Agikuyu community under the Kikuyu Council of Elders (KCE) have held meetings with the elders from Ukambani with the aim of bringing the two communities together with a political union in mind.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has attended some of the meetings and expressed his desire to work with the Gema community going forward, as he opposed any impeachment against DP Gachagua.

At the weekend, the drums of political war were beating from Thika to Nairobi as DP Gachagua and a host of his supporters heavily attacked President Ruto and warned him against any attempt to impeach his deputy.

Gachagua himself warned his boss that the people of Mt Kenya hate politics of betrayal, and they would not forgive him should he continue with the impeachment plan.

He said Ruto was himself a beneficiary of Mt Kenya region’s hatred for betrayal and that is why he they elected him against the wishes of their son and former President Uhuru Kenyatta who had warned them against a Ruto presidency.

They told Ruto if Gachagua goes home, he should also prepare to go home with him and that he should completely forget votes from Mt Kenya.
