Joseph Kamiri beats a big field of 180 golfers to win the KAA Golf Day tournament at Thika Greens Resort

Joseph Kamiri scored 44 points to emerge the overall winner of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Golf Day tournament at the Thika Greens Golf Resort.

In the Men’s category, George Wamae emerged victorious with 42 points, while Doris Night led the Ladies’ category with 43 points.

KAA’s own Judith Kimeu won in the staff category, scoring 29 points.

KAA hosted its Golf Day at the picturesque Thika Greens Resort, marking a significant event that brought together stakeholders from various sectors.

The day was filled with excitement, competition, and an invaluable opportunity for KAA to interact and engage with its stakeholders.

Graced by KAA Board Chairman, Hon. Caleb Kositany, and Acting Managing Director, Henry Ogoye, the tournament showcased an impressive display of golfing skills.

Kositany, an enthusiastic golfer himself, participated in the tournament, demonstrating a unique blend of leadership and sportsmanship.

“The KAA Golf Day is an essential event that goes beyond the realm of sports. It’s an opportunity for us to strengthen our bonds with the stakeholders and share our vision for the future,” stated Kositany during the event.

He said KAA was excited to host its Golf Day in a golf club owned and developed by an indigenous Kenyans adding that authority would always support indigenous entrepreneurs.

Henry Ogoye, KAA’s Acting MD, expressed his satisfaction with the event.

“The KAA Golf Day has been a fantastic platform for us to connect with our stakeholders in a relaxed setting, fostering a sense of unity and mutual understanding,” he commented.

The tournament’s gala dinner and the prize-giving ceremony, led by Kositany, were the highlights of the evening.

The moments allowed KAA to showcase its commitment to excellence and its efforts to build stronger stakeholder relations through the sport.
