Machakos governor Alfred Mutua turned 51 and threw a lavish party attended by ex-wife Lillian Ng’ang’a and ODM leader Raila Odinga in a star-studded event.
Mutua publicly separated from his wife Lillian less than two weeks ago and there meet-up on Sunday during the birthday celebrations was an emotional affair that caught many of the guests un-aware.
The meet-up was however praised by Kenyans who said it was possible for a couple to break up and still remain good friends.
After the couple announced their break-up many Kenyans among them former Nairobi governor begged them to forgive each other and come back together.
Mutua and Lillian were considered one of the best power couples in the country and their break-up broke many hearts going by the big number of Kenyans who turned to social media to ask the couple to re-unite
In his message Mutua said that he celebrated his joint birthday with his friend, Tanzanian sensation Rayvanny on Sunday afternoon.
He said he was blessed to turn 51 surrounded by family, friends from all over the world and with people who have made a huge impact in my life.
On her part, Lillian posted a photo of Mutua on her social media pages and wished him a happy birthday as well as attending the event in person.
Mutua said it was such a tremendous honour to have former prime minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga celebrate this momentous occasion with me amidst his busy schedule.
