Newly appointed CS Mithika Linturi takes over Agriculture Ministry from outgoing CS Peter Munya

Outgoing Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya has handed over the docket to newly appointed CS Mithika Linturi at a ceremony in Kilimo House.

Munya who was rated among the best performing Cabinet Secretaries in retired President Uhuru’s government said he was confident that Linturi will equally do a good job.

The former CS told the incoming CS that he believed he will work hard and fulfil the promises he made to farmers during the electioneering period.

“I wish you well my brother, the new CS Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, CS Mithika Linturi, as you officially take charge of the Ministry. I believe you will work hard like you have promised farmers,” said Munya.

On his part Mithika thanked Munya for an elaborate handing over report extended to him promising to work had abd achieve the desired targets.

“I assure Kenyans that I will diligently serve in this crucial ministry, with commitment and dedication to achieve the desired targets to support farmers and improve agriculture sector in Kenya,” said Linturi
