Embattled Bishop Mwai is hosted at State House by President Ruto as Gen Zs bay for blood

After denying receiving the now controversial Sh 20m donation by President Ruto, Bishop Mwai was hosted by his benefactor at State House on Thursday.

And as he was wining and dining with the President, Bishop Mwai continued to receive backlash from angry youths over the donation.

They tell the bishop that he should have rejected the donation and now wants him to return it failure to which they occupy his church based in Roysambu.

Bishop Mwai has already admitted coming under a barrage of attacks from youths including over 5,000 messages and phone calls mainly insults.

He said his wife has also not been spared and he has been forced to throw away his telephone line of 15 years to protect himself.

And after the meeting the President curiously posted several pictures of Bishop Mwai and his team with a caption praising the bishop.

There was no mention of the donation that has deeply angered the youths and Kenyans at large who thinks that President Ruto has more pressing issues to attend to other than making expensive donations to churches.

In the caption President Ruto said he appreciater Jesus Winner Ministry Church for complementing our Labour Mobility Programme by hosting a recruitment drive, which aims to secure jobs for our youth abroad.

He said the government will continue supporting this initiative as we work to expand job and income opportunities for our young people.

“Met the Reverend Edward Mwai of Jesus Winner Ministry Church at State House, Nairobi. He also shared with me the progress of the church’s construction in Roysambu,” he said.
