Baringo County deputy governor Charles Kimaiyo Kipngok has died at the JKIA after developing breathing problems

Baringo County has been thrown into mourning after their deputy governor Charles Kimaiyo Kipngok died today evening at the Jomo Kenyatta Internationa Airport (JKIA) Nairobi while boarding a Kenya Airways flight to Mombasa.

A statement by Kenya Airways said the passenger (Deputy Governor) was pronounced dead by medical personnel at JKIA while the aircraft was still on the ground.

Kenya Airways said the JKIA and Security agencies are handling the case while sending their condolences to the family of the deceased.

“Kenya Airways regrets to announce that a passenger developed breathing difficulties this evening while boarding KQ612 that was scheduled to depart for Mombasa at 1900hrs. The passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel at JKIA while the aircraft was still on ground,” said the statement by the airline.
