Uhuru sends two cows to a woman he bumped into in a Gatundu North village

A woman whose photograph with President Uhuru in a village went viral received double blessings when the Head of State sent her two cows instead of the one she had requested.

Eunice Wanjiku and her daughter was on a routine chore of collecting firewood when out of the woods President Uhuru emerged and met the Wanjiku and posed for the now famous photograph.

The President was on a quiet tour of Gakoe Water project being built by the government in Gatundu North constituency when he arrived at the facility that was locked.

She asked Wanjiku to find the keys so that he can get in and inspect the water project and even though her daughter was quick to notice it was Uhuru, they were too excited to make any request.

The President later went away promising to get in touch with dumbfounded villagers who could not believe that they were dealing with the president in the most unlikely of place and were unable to make any request.

Later on after journalists traced Wanjiku for an interview, she said she would like the President to give her a cow but yesterday Uhuru through the area MP Wanjiku Kibe and the County Commissioner delivered two pregnant cows much to the excitement of Wanujiku.

It was after the interview that was trending last week sharing their experience that she requested the President to gift her with a cow so she can help raise her grandchildren after their father passed away.
