Kagure delighted with Uhuru’s warm reception in Kisumu, praises handshake

Prominent Nairobi business lady Agnes Kagure has praised the great reception that President Uhuru received in Kisumu.

Kagure said the outpouring of love and friendliness witnessed in Kisumu was only possible due to the handshake.

“The kind of love, warm reception and friendliness we’re witnessing in Kisumu  wasn’t possible before the handshake,” she said in her Madaraka Day message.

A happy Kagure asked Kenyans to embrace more handshakes for a more united Kenya.
“Let’s normalize this and more handshakes, for a more united Kenya.Happy Madaraka Day,” she said.

She asked Kenyans to give their country which she described as a beautiful land of opportunities, potentials, and possibilities.

The handshake between Uhuru and Raila in March 2018 at the steps of Harambee avenue brought peace in a country that was quickly falling into anarchy.

Kisumu was one of the regions in the country that were badly hit by the political stalemate that resulted from the disputed 2017 general elections.

It was a no go zone for anybody thought to support President Uhuru – a sharp contrast with the kind of warmth and vibrancy that is obtaining currently. With the resultant peace has seen the country’s development pace increase.
