Ruto suffers another humiliating blow after his bid to stop the referendum bill is thrashed in parliament

DP William Ruto suffered yet another major political blow after his tanga tanga group failed to stop MPs from passing the BBI Bill at the National Assembly.

It has been failure upon failure for Ruto in his bid to stop the referendum with a shocking moment when Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri – a hitherto declared die hard supporter votes yes.

Another shocker came when Msambweni MP Faiser Bader, a former ally of Ruto jumped ship and voted yes, pointing to a drastic loss of fortunes for the tanga tanga group that is currently in turmoil.

Political analysts were taken aback when Ruto could only manage 83mps to his side even though he has been boasting of commanding at least 140mps in his camp.

The voting in parliament has exposed Ruto’s soft underbelly and reinforced the allegations that most MPs who always visit him at his official residence in Karen will abandon him at the last minute.

And the 12 Mt Kenya MPs who voted against the referendum have been declared enemies of the people for opposing the provision of more resources to the region.

BBI co-chair and former MP Dennis Waweru while thanking the MPs who voted for the Bill, he said Mt Kenya people now know their enemies who are opposed to development.

“We now know the enemies of the people, we will continue to preach unity and devolvement of more resources to the grassroots and equitable representation,” said Waweru.
