KENHA to build a new underpass for University of Nairobi students

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) has commissioned the installation of the new University of Nairobi (UoN) underpass.

KENHA says the underpass building units were precast out of site so as to minimize traffic disruptions on the busy highway.

It added thay the new pedestrian underpass will be wider and equipped with security lights, to enhance safety and accessibility for the students and community at large.

The installation works are set to be completed by Saturday April 6, 2024.

It comes at time when students and the larger community have been calling for the building of a more secure underpass.
