CCTV footage gives fresh clues into the murder of George Mwangi, husband to a Kiambu politician

A CCTV footage obtained by detectives probing the murder of George Mwangi where the wife is a prime suspect has offered fresh pointers.

Described as a crucial piece of evidence, the CCTV footage reveals how businessman George Mwangi’s killers dumped his body in Kieni forest after the brutal murder.

Detectives obtained the surveillance footage from a Chinese road construction company that captured the vehicle used and its driver.

Police believe that Mwangi was killed in his home and his body dumped into the forest in a bit to cover up the murder.

His politician wife Gladys Chania has since been arrested as the prime suspect.

Police believe the motive of the killing is a love triangle where a second woman Lucy Muthoni is at the centre.

According to the detectives, investigations so far reveal that Mwangi’s killers had no clear plan on how to dispose of his body and left big trails.
