Jubilee Party steps up campaigns to recapture the Kiambaa parliamentary seat

The Jubilee Party Secretary Raphael Tuju crisscrossed Kiambaa constituency hunting for votes as the party steps up its campaigns to recapture the parliamentary seat.

Tuju accompanied by other Jubilee officials visited traders in several trading centres and addressed meetings asking the people to elect the party’s candidate Kariri Njama. He also listened to the grievances of the people.

He told Kiambaa people not to be misled to elect a candidate in an opposition party yet those promoting him were still paid up Jubilee Party members.

And Njama has received a major boost after Kiambaa lawyer and politician Charles Munyui addressed several meetings drumming up support for the Jubilee candidate.

Munyui – an experienced grassroots mobiliser – had initially expressed interest to vie for the seat but dropped out of the race to support the Jubilee candidate

Another candidate sponsored by the Party of National Unity (PNU) has also dropped out of the race and pledged to support Njama.

Munyui said it was important that the people elected Njama so that he can complete the projects that had been initiated by the former MP, the late Paul Koinange who succumbed to Covid-19 earlier in the year.

Over the weekend Jubilee held several campaign meetings where party MPs combed the constituency for votes.
